I found that what really works with wearing 1950s clothes in Autumn, regardless if it’s a blouse with a skirt or trousers combination, or even a dress that you opt for, is a velvet bolero or a cape. In the picture below I paired one of my many 1950s velvet boleros with Wolford’s body, which keeps me very warm on colder days. It’s also a perfect example that vintage clothes can look quite contemporary depending on how they are styled. Cathy was always fashionable and had a thing for style, however, after following 20-year old bloggers for a while, she took a step back and realized that something was not quite right. The newest trends weren’t perfectly matching her age, which prompted her to start ‘The Middle Page’ blog. She wanted to offer something for women of her age and tweak millennial trends accordingly. So, what shoes do you ladies wear with your dresses? I only saw one reply to a previous post about shoes. Going barefoot is not an option for me. Walking on hardwood floors all day kills my feet. And heels or dress shoes like I imagine were actually worn in the 1950s is also out! Would love to hear from you all!
